Summary: The band became very predictable
Comment: I have to say that I can't agree with other reviews- I couldn't find that "new sound" and step forward other people found in new Disturbed album. Every single song sounds thesame and for me it is just one of the "I hope it ends soon" album. No offense to the band, which I liked before, but they are just boring with they're new CD. It is true that the vocals are deep and powerful and that they're sound is fast and heavy, but does every song has to be like a part of the other one. I tried to like that album, but it's like a Metallica St. Anger- you try to find something, a little thing that you enjoy, but that feeling quickly fade away.

Summary: Still letting it grow on me...
Comment: I'm still letting "Indestructible" grow on me. It's a very good album, where "Ten Thousand Fists" was an excellent album. I'm going to be a detail-obsessed nitpicker on why:

Song structures are definitely more metal-oriented (verse chorus verse chorus bridge solo chorus end) and the harmonies are power-chord guitar-driven. It probably doesn't help that I picked up "Ten Thousand Fists" at the same time - and I prefer the earlier album's more technical prowess and looser song structures.

The metal feel of "Indestructible" isn't the same as that on "The Sickness". Draiman sings to Donegan's guitar riffs on all four albums, but it just works better on "Ten Thousand Fists" with the more complex melodies. The bass, guitar, synth and drums coalesce much better on "Ten Thousand Fists", at times supporting Draiman's vocals, at times taking their own lead.

On "Indestructible" its more a duet of voice and guitar, with bass and drum support. Think of it this way - listen to thirty seconds in the middle of every song on each album. On "Indestructible" they all sound very similar, while on the previous three albums you can hear distinctive riffs and hooks that really set each song apart from one another.

You won't be disappointed on this album - its great soundtrack for lifting weights or sparring (or blowing things up on C&C3). I just can't listen to it on repeat like the previous three - and that is my ultimate shibboleth.

Summary: Good 4th album.
Comment: I like this album, it is well written. I however like 10,000 Fists better. This one is better than the first two.

Summary: 3 1/2 Stars, The experiment of separating themselves from nu metal is a success.
Comment: First their was The Sickness. Awesome album, and they had a great nu-metal sound but that genre was pretty much dying out. Then came Believe, the complete opposite of the sickness. and yet as good as The Sickness. Then their was Ten Thousand Fists, a mix of both. In my opinion a Good Alternative metal Album. What does the first 3 albums have in common? Each album sounded different and had stand-out tracks. Where am I going with this?

Well in my opinion this album is their first try at strait up metal album, and their is no stand-out track on this album, the rifts are pretty much the same throughout the whole album, and the sound is also similar. and hopefully next album will have more variety between songs and have just as heavy lyrics.

I will say this though, I love disturbed and I have my favorites including: Inside the Fire, Haunted, The Curse and Criminal. And who knows, the next album they may turn a complete 180 and come out with a Completely different sounding album to date.

Summary: Solid Rock Album
Comment: This CD Rocks from start to finish. I personally love the music along with the lyrics. You can tell the band has matured threw the years and mastered their music skills. I now have all their albums and look forward to many more albums by Disturbed. A side note my favorite tracks are 1, 2, 6, and 11.

Editorial Reviews:

Nearly a decade after the release of their groundbreaking debut, The Sickness, Disturbed have become one of the most respected bands in the hard-rock universe thanks not only to pummeling riffs and jackhammer beats but passionate insights into our troubled times. Three platinum-plus albums—Believe and Ten Thousand Fists charted #1—have led to Indestructible, the group's darkest, angriest outing yet.
