Summary: let there be MORE than rock
Comment: Wow, this is one powerful rock album. It pack a serious MEAN and NASTY punch. It's raw, straight forward, simple rock and roll with the volume turned WAY up. But wait! That's not all! The band members also give us some highly enjoyable guitar soloing in the title song. This band was truly at their very best in the early days.
Pick it up today and hear how AC/DC used to sound a long time ago when rock and roll was all about innovation and power. Why didn't hard rock bands hold back in the early days? Because it would have been boring to do so. AC/DC knew that's not the direction they wanted to take their music. They didn't want to be the first band to hold back their amazing talent.
When albums this good are released, you just don't know what to DO with yourself. You can't believe the speakers in your home haven't rocked all the way across the living room and into the coffee table, knocking off flowers and coffee cups. A guitar sound SO LOUD it almost cracks the speakers in half and leaves you begging for more, despite the damage you know the guitar playing will cause to your stereo system.
But you know what? We keep coming back to it. We keep coming back to the music and we make it the greatest music we've ever heard in our lives.

Summary: Crabsody in Blue is what makes this album the classic it is
Comment: While I agree that the remastered AC/DC catalogue greatly enhances the listening experience of the Bon-era albums (esp. If you want blood.. - one of the best live rock recordings ever!!), the original remastered Oz edition of "Let There Be Rock" (circa 1992) should not be overlooked (assuming you can find it now!!) as it contains this classic, slow, bluesy masterpiece from Bon - think of it as an extension of 'The Jack' (same theme etc). I prefer this Oz version of the album over the recent remastered version which deletes this (too racy/controversial for international audiences apparently - and "The Jack" wasn't???). Anyway, enjoy this album and play it loud - one of the best albums done by the boys and one of the best hard-rock albums period. Even my hero, Dave Mustaine, has been quoted as having said that this AC/DC album ranks as one of his personal favourites - so it must be that good coming from the King of Thrash himself. Summary: Well worth it
Comment: I just picked up all the old AC/DC albums and was really impressed. The sound quality on the re-mastered CDs is so much better than my older versions. After hearing one, I immediately replaced all the old CDs. Its a breath of fresh air for this music, it feels live, raw, and right in your room.

Comment: Let There Be Rock is one of the best AC/DC albums from the Bon Scott era!! This album is loud, hard and will rock everybody who takes a listen to it! From the first song on the album "Go Down"(my favorite) to "Whole Lotta Rosie", this album just rocks non stop and it doesn't let up...If you want to rock, then this album is for you!! Let There Be AC/DC!!!
