Summary: good luck receiving this cd
Comment: I have ordered this cd with #8 frail limb nursury and #9 Purity 4 times through Amazon and I got the other release instead. Save yourself the time and frustration and look for it somewhere else.

Summary: Classic Album
Comment: I remember when this album first came out I was in high school and, to me at the time, this was some very hard hitting original stuff. I bought the album twice at the time because I lost one and the tracks on those I purchased were different than the ones listed here. This is because once Slipknot hit radio waves they re-arranged the album. I have no idea where you would still find the original today, it's probably worth a good chunk of change.
Nevertheless this is still a masterpiece. Some metalheads might hate on this album but they have no reason to. If it never saw mainstream then they would love it as well.

Comment: let me start out by saying that slipknot is something that you have to have a taste for, so if you don't like it don't listen to it! anyway this self titled album is a great cd, it features some of their earlier work such as eyeless, and wait and bleed. the band its self consists of 9 members: sid wilson(DJ), corey taylor(lead vocals), jim root(rythem guitarist), mick thompson(lead guitarist), paul gray(bassist), shaun crahan(percussion), chris ferhn(percussion), craig jones(sampler), joey jordison(drums). needless to say, its a big band that packs one hell of a punch! oh and to those who said sid does nothing for the band, your wrong! he's a great dj, and only does what needs to done so that he's not over-bearing! i geuss in closing i'll say that if you love slipknot, then buy this album, because its a great one!!!

Anywayz, This CD is really good, thats if, you havent heard it in a LONG time or if you havent heard it at all.
Yeh, the screaming kinda gets annoying, but if your use to it, then, hey, wth, right ?
My personal opinion is, IF you like slipknot ALOT, then go for it.
BUT if you're just getting into them, then, I recommend their 2nd album Iowa.
Anywayz, I personally would put this in the "kiddie Metal" genre.
Because everyone knowz, therez MORE bands that are heavier.
But yeh, thats my review.
